Ingredients
2oz of 10 Torr Habanero Jalapeno Vodka
.5oz of Cointreau or Dry Curacao
.5oz Cranberry Juice
.75oz Fresh Lime Juice
.5oz Spiced Cranberry Syrup (recipe below)
Technique
Combine all ingredients into the larger side of your weighted shaker tin set, fill the small side of the weighted shaker tin with ice. Shake vigorously for 8 Seconds, to mix the cocktail together. Uncap the tin and use a Hawthorne strainer to pour through a fine mesh strainer to capture any ice chips into a chilled Coupe Glass. Garnish with a fresh or dried lime wheel.
1:1 Spiced Cranberry Simple Syrup
In a saucepan lightly toast a cinnamon stick, Ground Ginger, Whole Allspice and Cloves until they are fragrant. Then add 8oz of Cranberry Juice and 1 Cup of Turbinado sugar and heat it on medium low heat and stir it until the sugar dissolves. Cover the saucepan with a lid and remove it from the heat. Let it steep for 6 minutes, strain the whole ingredients out and let the syrup cool before putting it into a bottle or a container. Hot Tip: Add a .5oz of Vodka to your syrup to increase the shelf life.
