Carajillo

INGREDIENTS

Technique

Combine all ingredients into the larger side of your weighted shaker tin set, fill the small side of the weighted shaker tin with ice. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds, to mix the cocktail together. Uncap the tin and use a Hawthorne strainer to pour it over ice into a Double Old Fashioned or Bucket Glass. Garnish with 3 coffee beans.

1:1 Spiced Cranberry Simple Syrup

In a saucepan lightly toast a cinnamon stick, Ground Ginger, Whole Allspice and Cloves until they are fragrant. Then add 8oz of Cranberry Juice and 1 Cup of Turbinado sugar and heat it on medium low heat and stir it until the sugar dissolves. Cover the saucepan with a lid and remove it from the heat. Let it steep for 6 minutes, strain the whole ingredients out and let the syrup cool before putting it into a bottle or a container. Hot Tip: Add a .5oz of Vodka to your syrup to increase the shelf life.

Pro Tip: To give it a more post-dinner dessert style feel, shake some heavy whipping cream with a touch of simple syrup and pour it on top! Then add your coffee beans to garnish.
